Product Introduction

Glacier Coolant LM-4B is a high-performance food-grade industrial coolant engineered for reliable heat transfer in indirect cooling systems. Formulated with a modified triol solution and enhanced with corrosion inhibitors, mold inhibitors, solubilizers, and stabilizers, this product maintains exceptional physical and chemical stability across a wide temperature range.

LM-4B demonstrates excellent anti-rust performance for various metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper, helping to extend equipment service life. With a density of 1.237 g/cm³ at 20℃, specific heat of 2.61 kJ/(kg·K), and thermal conductivity of 0.29 W/m·K, it enables efficient heat exchange. The product is safe, low-toxicity, non-flammable, non-volatile, and free of bad odors.

The coolant incorporates Glacier Coolant's proprietary Modify 2000 composite modification technology and M3 super film anti-rust technology, which forms a protective film through the synergistic action of three anti-rust factors, effectively preventing metal corrosion and providing lasting protection for cooling systems.

LM-4B is suitable for use as a food-grade coolant in the food industry, as well as in pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical reaction cooling, and cold storage. Concentration can be adjusted according to operating requirements, and regular system checks with sample analysis are recommended for long-term performance.

As part of Glacier Coolant's 28 years of expertise in secondary refrigerant manufacturing, the LM-4B series delivers a safer, more efficient, and more reliable cooling solution for food and industrial systems.

Glacier coolant basically has no corrosion to carbon steel, stainless steel, red copper, aluminum alloy and other metals, and has good corrosion protection based on the test done by Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences according to GB/T 19291-2003 《General principles of corrosion testing of metals and alloys》. The test results are as follows:

In view of the serious corrosion of equipment caused by ethylene glycol, alcohol and salt water, the glacier coolant products adopt the “M3 super film corrosion protection” technology to form a super corrosion protection film through the synergistic action of three corrosion protection factors, which can effectively block the corrosion of a variety of metals and produce lasting protection for the cooling system. The principle of M3 super film corrosion protection is shown as follows:

Product Features

The coolant treated by our company's proprietary Modify 2000 composite modification technology has the following characteristics:
◎ Strengthen specific heat and thermal conductivity, improve cooling capacity.
◎ Reduce medium viscosity, save transportation energy consumption.
◎ Inhibit liquid volatilization and reduce use consumption.
◎ Sterilization, algae and scale inhibition to improve the system environment.
◎ A variety of corrosion protection factors to prolong the service life of equipment
◎ Wide temperature range and good resistance to high and low temperature.

Anticorrosion Mechanism

In view of the serious corrosion of equipment caused by ethylene glycol, alcohol and brine, the Glacier Coolant products adopt the “M3 super film corrosion protection” technology to form a super corrosion protection film through the synergistic action of three corrosion protection factors, which can effectively block the corrosion of a variety of metals and produce lasting protection for the cooling system. The principle of M3 super film corrosion protection is shown as follows:

Usage Method

1. After confirming that there is no leakage point in the system, clean the system and add glacier coolant solution to the system as soon as possible;

2. According to the operation temperature of the system, the addition amount of glacier coolant and water is calculated on the basis of the comparison table of concentration and freezing point;

3. Inject purified water or deionized water in succession. During the addition process, the circulating pump shall be turned on. After each addition of water, the solution concentration shall be tested after sufficient circulation to avoid excessive dilution caused by excessive addition of water. After the glacial coolant solution is prepared to the corresponding concentration, it can be used normally.

4. Glacier coolant products are strictly forbidden to mix with other substances. Please contact our company in time in case of any special conditions.
