Product Introduction

Glacier Coolant LM-4ABGL is a high-performance industrial coolant engineered for reliable heat transfer in indirect cooling systems. Formulated with a modified diol solution and enhanced with corrosion inhibitors, mold inhibitors, solubilizers, and stabilizers, this product maintains exceptional physical and chemical stability across a wide temperature range.

LM-4ABGL demonstrates excellent anti-rust performance for various metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and aluminum, helping to extend equipment service life. Its high specific heat (0.6444 cal/g·℃ at 20℃) and strong cooling capacity enable efficient heat exchange, improving overall system energy efficiency. The product is safe, low-toxicity, non-flammable, non-volatile, and free of bad odors.

The coolant incorporates Glacier Coolant's proprietary Modify 2000 composite modification technology and M3 super film anti-rust technology, which forms a protective film through the synergistic action of three anti-rust factors, effectively preventing metal corrosion and providing lasting protection for cooling systems.

According to tests conducted by the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (GB/T 19291-2003), Glacier Coolant shows virtually no corrosion to carbon steel, stainless steel, red copper, and aluminum alloy.

LM-4ABGL is compatible with non-metallic materials including PVC, fluororubber, latex, HDPE, natural rubber, PP, silica gel, and PTFE. It is widely used in pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical reaction cooling, cold storage, and other industrial refrigeration applications. Concentration can be adjusted according to operating requirements, and regular system checks with sample analysis are recommended for long-term performance.

As part of Glacier Coolant's 30 years of expertise in anti-rust and anti-corrosion solutions for industrial secondary refrigerants, the LM-4ABGL series delivers a safer, more efficient, and more reliable cooling solution for modern industrial systems.

Product Features

The refrigerant treated by our company's proprietary Modify 2000 composite modification technology has the following characteristics:
◎ Strengthen specific heat conduction and improve cooling capacity.
◎ Reduce medium viscosity and save transportation energy consumption.
◎ Inhibit liquid volatilization and reduce use consumption.
◎ Sterilization, algae and scale inhibition to improve the system environment.
◎ A variety of antirust factors to prolong the service life of the equipment.
◎ Wide temperature range and good resistance to high and low temperature.

Anticorrosion Mechanism

In view of the serious corrosion of equipments caused by ethylene glycol, alcohol and salt water, the glacier coolant adopts the “M3 super film rust prevention” technology to form a super rust prevention film through the synergistic action of three rust prevention factors, which can effectively block the corrosion of a variety of metals and produce lasting protection for the cooling system. The principle of M3 super film rust prevention is shown as follows:

Authoritative Test Conclusion

Glacier coolant basically has no corrosion to carbon steel, stainless steel, red copper, aluminum alloy and other metals, and has good rust resistance based on the test done by Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences according to GB/T 19291-2003 《General principles of corrosion testing of metals and alloys》. The test results are as follows:

Usage Method

1. After confirming that there is no leakage point in the system, clean the system and add glacier coolant solution to the system as soon as possible;

2. According to the operation temperature of the system, the addition amount of glacier coolant and water is calculated on the basis of the comparison table of concentration and freezing point;

3. Inject purified water or deionized water in succession. During the addition process, the circulating pump shall be turned on. After each addition of water, the solution concentration shall be tested after sufficient circulation to avoid excessive dilution caused by excessive addition of water. After the glacial coolant solution is prepared to the corresponding concentration, it can be used normally.
