Glacier Coolant LM-15A Modified Polysiloxane Heat Transfer Fluid -70°C to 180°C
Main parameters
Glacier Coolant LM-15A is insoluble in water, has low freezing point, high flash point, stable chemical properties, good hydrophobicity and long service life. It has almost no adverse effects on many materials represented by metals and is suitable for long-term use in the temperature range of -70℃~180℃. At 20 ℃, the density, viscosity, thermal conductivity and specific heat of Glacier Coolant LM-15A are 0.919 g/cm3, 5.63 cP, 0.1257 W/m·K and 1.7506 kJ/kg·K, respectively. The boiling point of Glacier Coolant LM-15A is higher than 200℃, and the freezing point is less than -70℃. It is suitable for water sensitive anhydrous systems.

Usage Method
Under high-temperature conditions, LM-15A is susceptible to contamination from strong acids, strong bases, certain metal compounds, and oxidants. These contaminants can speed up the formation of volatile by-products, while oxidants may also lead to a rise in product viscosity. When such conditions are possible, it is advisable to regularly inspect the product’s flash point to ensure operational safety. Furthermore, if the liquid releases smoke, there may be flammable conditions present.
1. LM-15A must be used independently and should not be mixed with other secondary refrigerants or heat transfer media. In the event of special circumstances, please contact our company promptly.
2. After confirming that there are no leakage points in the system, clean the system and drain all water. Once the system is dried, add the glacier coolant solution to it as soon as possible.
3. It is recommended that the system be operated in a closed mode, and a nitrogen sealing device should be installed to prevent moisture from entering the system during use.
Storage and usable life
This product may degrade due to factors such as heat, light, acids, and alkalis, so it should be stored in a sealed container in a cool place. When kept in the original unopened containers at a temperature of 25°C or below, the product has a usable life of 30 to 60 months from the date of production, depending on its viscosity.
After-sale service and testing items
Relevant staff will provide tracking services during the product’s usage. They will regularly collect samples of the products used by customers and bring them back to the company for testing. The testing items are conducted in the company’s low-temperature liquid heat transfer medium engineering laboratory in accordance with the company’s testing standards. The testing items are as follows:
1. Specific heat capacity test: To ensure the cold-carrying capacity of the glacier coolant;
2. Thermal conductivity test: To ensure the thermal conductivity of the glacier coolant;
3. Low-temperature viscosity test: To ensure the working efficiency of the glacier coolant;
4. Boiling point and freezing point tests: To ensure that the operating temperature range of the glacier coolant meets the standard;
5. High-temperature corrosion protection test: To ensure the product’s corrosion resistance under extreme conditions.
Test reports will be promptly fed back to customers. In case of any problems, we will provide solutions and cooperate with relevant technical services to deliver 360-degree all-round after-sales service to customers.
