Glacier Coolant LM-XR-12 Heat-Storage PCM Phase Change Temperature 12°C
Product Introduction
Glacier Coolant LM-XR-12 is a high-performance heat-storage phase change material formulated with a primary phase change substrate, phase transition regulator, supercooling inhibitor, and phase separation stabilizer as core functional components. It realizes thermal energy storage and release via solid-liquid phase transition.
LM-XR-12 has a nominal phase transition temperature of 12°C (freezing and melting), a volumetric latent heat storage capacity of 107.8 J/g, and a thermal conductivity of 0.648 W/(m·K) at 25°C. Its density at 20°C is 1.47±0.10 g/cm³, specific heat at 25°C is 3.031 kJ/(kg·K), and volume change rate during phase change is ≤3%.
The product possesses outstanding cyclic stability, recyclability, high heat transfer efficiency, eco-friendliness, and excellent safety and reliability. It exhibits extensive application potential in cold chain logistics, air conditioning systems, and temperature regulation of electronic components.
LM-XR-12 is compatible with non-metallic materials including PC, Abs, POM, PS, PET, PA, PVC, PE, PMMA, PP, Silicone, and PTFE. For nitrile rubber and fluororubber, compatibility is not observed. For other materials, please consult technical personnel.
As part of Glacier Coolant's expertise in secondary refrigerant manufacturing since 1994, the LM-XR-12 series delivers a reliable, efficient thermal storage solution for modern temperature-control applications.
When door openings and defrost break the cold chain
Display cases, medical cold boxes and comfort-side HVAC around 10–15 °C are exactly where ordinary insulation runs out the moment a door opens or a defrost cycle hits — the same poor-cooling fault that tops our service logs. LM-XR-12 makes the panel itself part of the cooling. At a 12 °C transition and 107.8 J/g storage density it banks coolth during off-peak and gives it back when the load returns, so the compressor runs shorter, less frequent cycles instead of constant catch-up. It holds stable through thousands of melt–freeze cycles and is compatible with the plastics and elastomers you already build with (PTFE, silicone, PP, PE and others) — no material-qualification detour before you ship.
