Product Introduction

Glacier Coolant LM-XR-18 is a high-performance heat-storage phase change material formulated with a primary phase change substrate, phase transition regulator, supercooling inhibitor, and phase separation stabilizer as core functional components. It realizes thermal energy storage and release via solid-liquid phase transition.

LM-XR-18 has a nominal phase transition temperature of 18°C (freezing and melting), a volumetric latent heat storage capacity of 114.5 J/g, and a thermal conductivity of 0.8372 W/(m·K) at 25°C. Its density at 25°C is 1.48±0.10 g/cm³, specific heat at 10°C is 2.8809 kJ/(kg·K), and volume change rate during phase change is ≤3%.

The product possesses outstanding cyclic stability, recyclability, high heat transfer efficiency, eco-friendliness, and excellent safety and reliability. It exhibits extensive application potential in building energy conservation, new energy systems, and temperature regulation of electronic components.

LM-XR-18 is compatible with non-metallic materials including PC, Abs, POM, PS, PET, PA, PVC, PE, PMMA, PP, Silicone, and PTFE. For nitrile rubber and fluororubber, compatibility is not observed. For other materials, please consult technical personnel.

As part of Glacier Coolant's expertise in secondary refrigerant manufacturing since 1994, the LM-XR-18 series delivers a reliable, efficient thermal storage solution for modern temperature-control applications.

When near-ambient spaces micro-overheat

Equipment rooms, new-energy inverters and near-ambient building zones micro-overheat — a few degrees that force oversized cooling or constant fan and pump run. Published phase-change building trials back the fix: PCM boards cut peak temperature by double digits and extend thermal-buffering time substantially across repeated cycles. LM-XR-18 carries the fastest response in the near-ambient XR group — 114.5 J/g at an 18 °C transition and 0.8372 W/(m·K) conductivity — so it takes the load the instant a space warms and sheds it before mechanical cooling switches on. Built for building-energy and new-energy buffering, it keeps the swing — and the cost — inside the band that decides comfort, uptime and power draw.
