Product Introduction

Glacier Coolant LM-XR-10 is a high-performance heat-storage phase change material formulated with a primary phase change substrate, phase transition regulator, supercooling inhibitor, and phase separation stabilizer as core functional components. It realizes thermal energy storage and release via solid-liquid phase transition.

LM-XR-10 has a nominal phase transition temperature of 10°C (freezing and melting), a volumetric latent heat storage capacity of 106.7 J/g, and a thermal conductivity of 0.631 W/(m·K) at 25°C. Its density at 20°C is 1.40±0.10 g/cm³, specific heat at 25°C is 3.161 kJ/(kg·K), and volume change rate during phase change is ≤3%.

The product possesses outstanding cyclic stability, recyclability, high heat transfer efficiency, eco-friendliness, and excellent safety and reliability. It exhibits extensive application potential in cold chain logistics, air conditioning systems, and temperature regulation of electronic components.

LM-XR-10 is compatible with non-metallic materials including PC, Abs, POM, PS, PET, PA, PVC, PE, PMMA, PP, Silicone, and PTFE. For nitrile rubber and fluororubber, compatibility is not observed. For other materials, please consult technical personnel.

As part of Glacier Coolant's expertise in secondary refrigerant manufacturing since 1994, the LM-XR-10 series delivers a reliable, efficient thermal storage solution for modern temperature-control applications.

When 10 °C loads make the compressor short-cycle

Near-10 °C cold-chain and low-temperature electronics make up the largest single fault group we see — poor cooling performance, where the load swings faster than the loop can follow and the compressor falls into short, wasteful cycles. LM-XR-10 takes that swing off the compressor. As a 10 °C phase-change medium it banks 106.7 J/g of latent heat and conducts at 0.631 W/(m·K), soaking up heat spikes and returning them as the compressor catches up, so the duty cycle flattens and the setpoint holds. With ≤3% volume change through phase transition and compatibility across PC, ABS, PET, silicone, PTFE and more, it drops into existing enclosures without re-engineering — the cabinet stops fighting the next door opening or ambient bump.

Reference values: energy storage density 106.7 J/g · conductivity 0.631 W/(m·K) · density 1.40±0.10 g/cm³ · volume change ≤3%
