Product Introduction

Glacier Coolant LM-10B is a high-performance heat transfer medium composed of modified hydrocarbons. It has excellent low-temperature fluidity and is widely used in pharmaceutical, chemical, and other industrial fields.

LM-10B is a light-colored liquid suitable for heating and cooling across a wide temperature range from -70°C to 190°C, recommended for use in closed-cycle systems. Its density at 20°C is 0.76±0.02 g/cm³, average boiling point is 210°C, pour point is below -70°C, flash point is above 70°C, and kinematic viscosity at 40°C is 1.23 mm²/s.

The product features good low-temperature performance, a wide operating temperature range for both heating and cooling systems, NSF HT1 food-grade certification for systems that occasionally contact food, and near non-corrosiveness to metals.

LM-10B should be used alone and cannot be mixed with other coolants or heat transfer fluids. After confirming no leakage points, clean the system, drain water, and add the coolant as soon as possible after drying. It is only used in closed systems, and moisture must be prevented from entering during use. It shall not be directly used to heat or cool chemicals with oxidizing effects.

As part of Glacier Coolant's anti-rust and anti-corrosion expertise since 1994, the LM-10B series delivers a reliable, food-grade heat transfer solution for demanding industrial applications.

When moisture freezes an ice plug — or brine corrodes the loop

Two failures repeat in low-temperature loops: a loop that takes on moisture and freezes an ice plug that seizes the pump within days, and a brine circuit that corrodes through its lines within a few seasons — one operator's aluminum lines developed multiple leaks in just two to three years. LM-10B ends both. It's a purpose-formulated, water-free secondary refrigerant for closed circulation: with no free water, ice blockage from moisture ingress is designed out, and the loop never sees the corrosion brine brings. Keep the circuit closed and dry (a nitrogen blanket is ideal), run LM-10B alone, never blended with other fluids, and you get a stable, long-life medium that removes the corrosion-and-icing tax without the handling questions some alternatives carry.

Use note: run alone in a sealed circuit; drain and clean before fill; exclude moisture to prevent ice blockage.
