Product Introduction

Glacier Coolant LM-XR-44Y is a high-performance organic phase change material composed of a primary phase change substrate, phase temperature modifier, thermal conductivity enhancer, and other functional additives. It realizes heat storage and release through solid-liquid phase transition.

LM-XR-44Y has a phase transition temperature of 44°C (freezing 44±1°C; melting 44±2°C) and a thermal storage density of ≥220 J/g. Its density at 50°C is 0.78±0.1 g/cm³, thermal conductivity at 25°C is 0.32 W/(m·K), and specific heat at 25°C is 1.507 J/(g·K). The boiling point is 368°C and flash point is 110°C.

The product features excellent cycling stability, reusability, high efficiency, and environmental friendliness, with broad application prospects in phase change building materials, energy-saving heating, greenhouse temperature control, intelligent temperature control, and other fields.

As part of Glacier Coolant's expertise in secondary refrigerant manufacturing since 1994, the LM-XR-44Y series delivers a reliable, high-density thermal storage solution for modern energy applications.

When stored heat leaks away before it's used

Low-temperature radiant and solar-assisted heating lose their edge because collected heat leaks away before it's used — so the burner or element runs more than it should. Phase-change building boards solve this by storing heat at the phase point and returning it on demand, a pattern proven in published PCM-building studies. LM-XR-44Y holds ≥220 J/g at a 44 °C transition for exactly that duty, letting phase-change boards and energy-saving heating loops bank heat from a cheap source and release it when the room calls. At 0.32 W/(m·K) conductivity with a 110 °C flash point, it's formulated for building-material and greenhouse use where cyclic stability and safe handling matter more than raw conductivity.

Reference values: transition 44 °C (freezing 44±1) · energy storage density ≥220 J/g · density 0.78±0.1 g/cm³ · flash 110 °C · boiling 368 °C
